Compare the exact receiver and package, not just the Formuler or BuzzTV name. Both product ranges contain different hardware and software generations. First identify the software you need
Formuler's Z10 family and GTV use MYTVOnline 2; the Z11 family and Z mini use MYTVOnline 3. MYTVOnline 4 is available on the Z12 series, including the Z12 Ultra through the official update. An older unit may need updating. Do not infer the media-app version from the Android version alone.
BuzzTV documents its own BuzzTV 5 and BuzzTV 6 apps, with model-specific support. Its X5 product page describes BuzzTV 5 and PVR Plus, while its manufacturer comparison chart covers other families and configurations. The official upgrade guidance states that a BuzzTV 5-series box cannot be upgraded to BuzzTV 6. Check your exact model rather than assuming every newer app is an installable upgrade.

Picture formats and premium apps
Match the receiver’s supported formats to the television, audio system, content and app. Do not assume Dolby Vision or Dolby Atmos is available on every model from either brand. Android, an app-store listing or Widevine support does not by itself guarantee certification by a streaming service or HD or 4K playback in every app. Check the provider’s current supported-device information before buying for a specific service.
Keep or replace your existing receiver?
Keep a working receiver when it already meets your needs. Before replacing it, identify the missing feature or fault: remote, network, storage or account. Ask about device registration and connection limits before testing a replacement. Preserve supported backups, and do not assume firmware, accessories or saved settings transfer between brands.
