To set up MYTVOnline 4 on a Formuler Z12, check the official software update, open the app and find Content Sources inside App Settings. Add the connection details supplied by your own service, then test playback and the programme guide. This guide covers Z12 Pro, Z12 Ultra SE and Z12 Ultra with version 4 installed.
Formulerstore.com sells receivers and accessories. Channels and paid subscriptions are separate. The steps below follow the manufacturer's documentation; menu labels may change with software updates.
1. Check your model and install the official update
Formuler's MYTVOnline 4 release announcement identifies the Z12 series as supported. An older Z12 Ultra may still be running version 3. On the receiver, launch Software Update, check the available release and read its details before starting the download. Keep the receiver powered during installation, then confirm the installed app version.
If you own a Z11 or Z mini running version 3, use our MYTVOnline 3 setup guide. Installing an unofficial APK is not a supported way to turn a Z11 into a MYTVOnline 4 device.
2. Prepare the receiver and connection details
Connect the receiver to your television, select its HDMI input and complete the initial network setup. Keep your existing configuration details before making changes. For a new installation, have the service's account information ready and confirm that it supports your receiver. Use the setup directory if you need to identify a different device or app version.
3. Add the correct content source
Inside MYTVOnline 4, open the menu, choose Settings, then App Settings and Content Sources. Use the option that matches the connection type supplied by your provider:
| Source type | Information needed |
|---|---|
| MAC-ID / Stalker | The provider's portal URL, plus device registration when required. Confirm the app's displayed MAC-ID with your provider. |
| XC API | The server or portal address, username and password supplied for the account. |
| M3U playlist | A playlist URL or supported file; a separate EPG address if supplied. |
Enter the details carefully and follow the on-screen prompts to save and connect. A playlist URL and an XC server address belong in different fields. Formuler's official connection guide explains these formats. Keep passwords and full service URLs out of public screenshots.
4. Test playback, refresh content and check the EPG
Play a programme included in your service and check picture and sound before changing recording settings. If the list needs updating, return to Content Sources, select the portal and choose Refresh Content. This refreshes the provider's available list; it cannot add channels outside your service. See Formuler's content-refresh instructions.
If programme times are shifted, check the receiver's date and time zone first. In Content Sources, edit the current portal and adjust the EPG offset if needed, then apply the update and compare the guide with the programme now playing. Formuler documents this in its EPG offset guide. Missing guide data and an incorrect time offset are different problems.
5. Set up and test recording
Choose storage supported by your receiver and installed software. Formuler lists internal recording and timeshift for the Z12 Ultra SE and Z12 Ultra. Check available space and your service's recording and connection permissions. Back up files before formatting external storage.
For a scheduled recording, open the programme guide, select a future programme and use the recording option offered by OK or the record button. Review the timing before saving. Follow Formuler's scheduling instructions and make a short test first.
To find the result in MYTVOnline 4, open the menu, choose More, then Recording and select the storage device. Play the file to verify that picture and sound were captured. See the manufacturer's recording-file guide.
Troubleshooting MYTVOnline 4
- Login fails: confirm the source type, address, credentials, account status and any required device registration with your provider.
- Playback buffers: compare another programme and another app, check the network connection and ask whether the service has an outage. Change one setting at a time so the result is meaningful.
- The menus look different: confirm that MYTVOnline 4 is installed. Version 3 uses Content Manager for source setup.
- Recordings are missing: check the selected storage, free space, schedule and service permissions. Test a short recording before relying on a longer one.
Formuler's playback troubleshooting guide explains how device, network and service checks help isolate a problem. Preserve your account settings before considering a factory reset or clearing app data.
