MYTVOnline 4: check the installed version
The Z12 Ultra originally shipped with MYTVOnline 3. Formuler now offers MYTVOnline 4 for the Z12 series through its official software update. An older or Open Box receiver may still need updating. Open Software Update, review the available release and follow its instructions. See the manufacturer's MYTVOnline 4 announcement. Use setup instructions that match the version actually installed, not a tutorial for a different generation.
Internal recording and timeshift
The Ultra supports internal recording and timeshift, but the space you need depends on the recording bitrate, duration and other stored content. Provider permissions, firmware and recording settings also matter. The Ultra SE supports these functions too, with 64 GB rather than 128 GB storage; internal recording is not exclusive to the Ultra. Check supported microSD, USB or network-storage options before buying storage for a particular workflow.
Picture, sound, networking and remote
Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos require compatible content and connected equipment. A format listed on the receiver does not guarantee support in every app. For networking, use Gigabit Ethernet when suitable or confirm that your router and signal support the wireless features you plan to use. Wi-Fi 6E does not guarantee better reception in every installation.
The BT3 provides backlit keys, voice functions, programmable controls and Find My Remote on supported setups. Bluetooth pairing, receiver firmware and television-control configuration affect which functions work. Review the BT3 remote listing for compatibility information.
What comes in the box?

No channels or programming are bundled with the hardware — it is hardware only. Check your lawful content source's device registration and app requirements before replacing a receiver. Widevine and 4K support do not guarantee certification by a streaming service or HD/4K playback in third-party streaming apps. Confirm the exact model, region and account with the service.

Can I use MYTVOnline 4 on the NVIDIA Shield TV Pro?
No. Formuler's official MYTVOnline 4 release announcement specifies that it is available exclusively on Formuler Z12-series devices. Choose a supported Z12 receiver when MYTVOnline 4 is a requirement. The Shield TV Pro uses Android TV; sharing an Android foundation does not make every app available on both receivers.
Does the Ultra still require MYTVOnline 3?
No. MYTVOnline 4 is available through the official Z12-series update; the installed version depends on the unit.
Do I need an external drive to record?
Internal recording is supported. Whether the available space and your setup meet your recording needs depends on your provider.
